José Duarte
(San José, Costa Rica. 1979) Tiene una maestría en Tecnología Musical (2007) en la Universidad Nacional Chiao Tung (NCTU) en Taiwan, R.O.C. Licenciado en Ingeniería Industrial en la Universidad Isaac Newton. Estudió Composición Algorítmica con Phil Winsor y Música Electroacústica con Yu-Chung Tseng y Huang Chi-Fang. Guitarrista del grupo musical de improvisación libre del Instituto de Música (IMU - NCTU) dirigido por Chao-Ming Tung. Su música ha sido interpretada en lugares como Taiwán, Costa Rica y Colombia en el IX Festival Internacional de Música Contemporánea Bogotá 2007. Su música ha sido publicada por la revista Renlai en varios países de Asia y Europa (2008). Miembro fundador de Antimateria (Rock instrumental) y Sonorum (Electrónica en vivo).
Paisaje Eléctrico (2007)
Utiliza técnicas de síntesis de sonido, Algoritmo Karplus-Strong, Max/MSP y sonidos del Grupo de improvisación IMU, NCTU. Describe las montañas y llanuras que están cubiertas de torres y cableado eléctrico. Las plantas de energía eléctrica que de alguna forma modifican la apariencia del paisaje convirtiéndolo en un “paisaje eléctrico”.

Born in 1979, in San José, Costa Rica. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Music Technology (2007) from the National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) in Taiwan, R.O.C. Also, Industrial Engineering graduate at the Isaac Newton University. He studied Algorithmic Composition with Phil Winsor and Electroacoustic Music with Yu-Chung Tseng and Huang Chi-Fang.
He was guitarist of the Free Improvisation Music Band of the Institute of Music (IMU-NCTU) directed by Chao-Ming Tung. His music has been performed in places like Taiwan, San Jose and Colombia at the IX Contemporary Music International Festival Bogota 2007. His music has been published by the RenLai Magazine in several countries in Asia and Europe (2008). Founder member of Antimateria (Instrumental Rock) and Sonorum ( Live Electronics ).
Paisaje Eléctrico (2007)
This piece is composed using different sound synthesis techniques, Karplus-Strong Algorithm, Max/MSP and sounds from the Free Improvisation Ensemble of the IMU, NCTU (Institute of Music of the National Chiao Tung University). It describes the mountains and plains covered by electrical wiring. The electric power plants that in some way modify the natural landscape converting into an “Electric Landscape”
